    Detailed Visualization in New Window

Hi! I would like to make it so a user can select a column on a graph that I have, and then hit a button to see a detailed visualization in another window, preferably so that the user can then close the window when done looking. Is there a way to do this? Thanks, Michael

    Hi Michael,

This is very simple with standard Spotfire functionality.

After Creating your graph , right click on it and choose "Create detail vis..." , a new graph or report will be created based on the selected/marked bars  in the first graph.

Create a new page and drag your detailed vis to it.

Finally you can create a text box on each page that has action controls each directing to the other page.

    Best Regards,

    Eran

Re: Detailed Visualization in New Window

Thanks! OK, so say I select something from a graph and then it displays the selected information on the table. Could I then have a box next to the table that allows the user the ability to select which columns they would like to see. So that box next to the table would have all the columns, and then the user would be able to see one, two, or however many of them they wanted to. Also, is it possible to create some sort of hierarchy in the box next to the table so that the user can 'drill down' of sorts. Like the top selection would be say date, then the next selection would be region, and the third say completion name. So when date is selected, the user sees the information by date (lets assume there is always a few columns they would like to see and those are always shown), then if the user selects region the data is re-sorted by region, etc. Thanks, Michael
