TIBCO Spotfire

Hi, I created 6 insert statements for our analytics team for a data process. The issue is they literally have to run the queries in Netezza, which is fine, but some users get curious and change some filters, which changes the query. I would like to remove the actual sql from the equation - Would it be possible to use Spotfire as the UI to run the insert statements? For example the user would login into Spotfire input list of parameters, then the scripts runs. Essentially, is it possible to modify the external data source using Spotfire? I've heard this can be done using a procedure, Spotfire extension or iron python script. What is the easiest or simply way? Thanks, Jeff
