Hi, where can I find a distinct count function in spotfire?

I don't have any functions under available functions when adding a table. not sure if there is something that needs to be ran to populate these functions/functionality.

 Hi,

There are a couple ways to do a distinct count. Cross Tables will do this for you, you can also pivot your data, and there are some other methods as well.

Please view the following post which describes using the pivot method, and then read the comments below it for solutions using Cross Tables and other methods.

 Did you ever find the link? I'm looking for a way to add a column that calculates the number of times the value in another column is present in the table. Basically the countif() function in excel.

 Nevermind -- I figured it out. Its really easy:

count([columnA]) OVER [columnA]
