    Hi,

     I have installed Spotfire Server 3.3.1 and install web player 4.0 on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bits but when i try to login on web player i have this message :

    Unknown username or password. Please try again.

    Could not authenticate user 'spotfire'.

     

    My user "spotfire" is administrator and my log on web player are :

    When using SSO, authentication is done against Active Directory. The error suggests that the account "spotfire" does not exist in Active Directory hence logon will fail.  As someone else already suggested, try a different account to test but make sure that account is setup in *both* the Spotfire user directory (critical for authorization) and Active Directory (necessary for proper authentication).

    Note that this assumes you have all the proper SPN's, delegation (!) and so on in place on the WebPlayer. Actually if the "spotfire" account works fine from the Spotfire client application, you should look into those items for a solution.
