TIBCO Spotfire

Please help me in creation of Profile settins/creation of page in spotfire. Attached the prototype of the page.

Functionality of the page :

1. Should display current user’s previously defined “Settings/Profiles” in a list box on the left
2. User should have the ability to select a “Setting/Profile” and set it as active
3. User should have the ability to select a “Setting/Profile” and view the Filters applied in it, edit them as needed and re-save using filter selections on right side of screen
4. User should have the ability to delete a “Setting/Profile”
5. User should have the ability to create a new “Setting/Profile” using the filter selections on the right of screen

For ex: a user has logged into spotfire screen first time then nothing will shown in the left pane.He can create a new settings using the filter on the screen(right side), once he selects all the filter value then it saved as a "setting1", like wise he can create any settings based on the different values selected in the filter pane(right hand side) and saved it as "setting 2","setting 3". Next time if the user has logged in again then all the created settings for that user will display on the left hand side of the screen.

How can we implement these " savings of selected values as a settings" and re-displaying the created setting names on the left side for each user.

Note : Each user can create different profiles/settings.

I hope you understand my requirement. Please add your suggestions/thoughts on this. Appreciated your quick reply in this regard.

I'm don't understand entirely your requirements which is why I will ask a couple of questions to see if I might be of help.

Do you want to implement this as a C# extension of the Professional client? or Do you want to implement this as a javascript mashup for WebPlayer clients only?

The profile settings will only have an impact on the filter panel? or will it impact datatables as well?

Lets start with this for now...

Let me answer your questions.

I'm more interested to implement this Javascript for webplayer clients.

The profile settings will have impact on the Filters. Because if you can see the screen which is attached... there are certain fields, where a user can select some values on tat...once he selects all the values and saves as a settngs.. and he can use those settings to all the remaining analysis. I want to know, what make you to think that it will also impact on datatable.
