    building a 64 bits package

    Hi,

    I use the CMD INSTALL pkg command to build a package on my windows 7 64bits machine. I can create this way a 32bits package but I also want a 64 bits version. However, the command CMD does not seem to initiate 64bits compilation. I have splus 8.2 installed, and have installed all required tools according to the guide to packages.

    I am not sure what is meant with set environment variables to 64 bit compilation

    "C:\Program Files\MicrosoftSDKs\Windows\v7.1\Bin\SetEnv.Cmd" /x64

    something like(?),

    variable = SetEnv.Cmd /x64

    value = C:\Program Files\MicrosoftSDKs\Windows\v7.1\Bin

    Hope to receive some support on this one,

    Jean-Paul.

    Re: building a 64 bits package

    Hi Jean-Paul,

    Thank you for your question.  Is your S+ 32-bit or 64-bit?  The bitness of your S+ must match the bitness of the package you are attempting to build, so you need to use 64-bit S+ to build a 64-bit version of your package.

    I hope this helps!  If this does not resolve your issue, please file a support ticket so that we may assist you further.

    Sincerely,

    Rachel

    Re: building a 64 bits package

    On my 64 bits windows 7 PC, I have installed Splus 8.2 the 32 bits and the 64 bits version. My idea was to compile the package for 32 bits and 64 bits. As said, I do not know how to activate the 64 bits compiler.

    How do I file a support ticket?

    Thanks Jean-Paul
