  • Question on Bar Chart Marking & Category axis labels

Hello, I have a series of visualizations that work to identify causes for outlier sales groups. The initial view is a scatter plot where I mark the noted outliers. I then have the analysis set up to show a variety of metrics via bar charts and stacked bar charts. I want to avoid using the bar charts...

  • Compared Marked Rows to Non-Marked Rows?

I am looking for a way to compare all marked rows in a table to the unmarked rows. It doesn't seem like its easy to find a "flag" or create a computed column of marked rows that's dynamic, so I am looking for another way. For example: I have a list of the 50 states. I select the first...

  • Marking single cells in a cross table with multiple cell value columns (from custom expression)

I have a cross table, horizonal axis is State, Vertical is (column names), and cell values are determined from a custom expression. Basically by state, each row shows a sum or average of different values. For example the first row shows the sum of Priority 1 Cases, and the second row would show Case...

  • Mark all rows automatically

  • Setting a Default Marking

Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to Spotfire so I don't have almost any experience writing any controls for Spotfire. I currently have a Cross Table and Line Chart based upon the same data. The Cross Table's data is limited to the selection in the Line Chart, because it gives a more detailed...

  • Re: Marking in the Cross Table with Custom Expressions?

[quote user="deandipietro"]The trouble is that whenever I add an additional column to the X Axis, spotfire nests it underneath the preceeding column, and you can't get subtotals for the higher nodes, only grand total for the whole thing [...] But in going the custom expression route, I've...

  • Marking in the Cross Table with Custom Expressions?

I'm having a problem with marking in a cross table. Suppose a simple table with three columns "order ID", "person", and "days late/early". Days Late/Early is an integer that represents the number of days late/early that the order was filled. I have a cross table that...

  • Re: Select a row(say 1st one) in a cross table using Iron Python

Even I'd like to know the answer to that one. I have a cross tab where I show only the Top 10 rows. I'd like to mark the top 10 rows using a script. I know the Action item that says mark all. But that would mark every row. I wish to mark just the top 10 rows.

  • Re: any way to use marking to trigger calculation of percentage?

i might have not done it correctly but it does not seem to work this time. i created the calculated column count() over [ControlType], which i named [per_pop]. the calculated column gives the correct count of each control type. the cross table, sliced by the control type, also gives the correct count...
