TIBCO Spotfire

Hi, I have some checkbox filtering in my filter panel, by default only the first item is selected. When users reset all filters in the Spotfire WebPlayer, they get all checkboxes selected (instead of selecting the default one). Is there any way to reset filters to their default state? Say that I have a basic filter on the side of my screen for "Month", and in it I have "Jan 2012" through "July 2012". I want to combine Jan - Mar 2012 into a grouped parameter called "Q1" and have THAT be displayed as the column instead of the 3 separate ones....

If I add a new data table, or a new column to an existing data table, those tables/columns are automatically added to filter panel, which is really annoying. Is there any way to turn off this "automatic add"?

All- I have a dxp in which I have hidden filters. When I do a data reload, those filters that were hidden, all of a sudden appear again. Is this standard functionality or am I missing something?

How best to set a filter for mulitple columns at once. I would like to add a button in text area that allows users to enter a value which will then set the filters for a multiple columns at once.
